Dozens of Russian companies took part in the GITEX Africa Morocco 2025 international exhibition, held from April 14 to 16 in Marrakesh, Morocco.
The event brought together over 1,400 companies from 130 countries, attracting more than 45,000 registered visitors and serving as one of the largest platforms in Africa for technological collaboration and innovation.
Participants demonstrated solutions across a broad spectrum of industries, including artificial intelligence, telecommunications, cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare, logistics, e-commerce, big data, and more.
According to the organizers, as quoted by TASS, GITEX Africa showcases "innovative ideas and solutions, and encouraging public-private partnerships" that will help shape the continent's emerging digital ecosystem. The event also serves as a platform for channeling investment into African startups.
Russia was represented by more than 50 companies, TASS reported. Among them were leading developers and service providers such as Solar, Right Line, KarimCo, Yango, Infotech, NtechLab, Zecurion, Korpus, Nexign, Alakris Group, Neiroseti, VisionLabs, and the Moscow Export Center.
Vitaly Stepanov, the CEO of the Moscow Export Center, told TASS that Africa holds strategic importance for promoting Moscow-based businesses, particularly Morocco, which he described as "an important player and a trade and economic hub on the continent."
"It is worth noting that Moscow accounts for about one-third of all Russia's non-resource, non-energy exports to Morocco. We are talking about finished products with high added value, including high-tech goods," he said.
This marks the third year the Moscow Export Center has attended the event, supporting around 70 companies since 2023, Stepanov noted, adding that Moscow accounts for over 50% of all Russian IT service exports.
